Every First Friday, we welcome new residents and feature a specialty cocktail during our Cocktail Hour in the Library Lounge from 5-7pm.
This week, we’re getting fresh and fruity!

Kiwi Capiroska
Ingredients:
2 cups kiwi, peeled and diced
12 mint leaves, divided
2 tablespoons sugar, divided
3 limes, juiced
2 cups high quality vodka
2 cups tonic water (or coconut flavored sparkling water)
ice cubes
garnish:
1 kiwi, peeled and thinly sliced
Directions:
1. Line six glasses up and fill each with 1/3 cup of diced kiwis, 2 mint leaves, 1 teaspoon sugar, and ½ lime juiced.
2. Muddle together the contents of each glass until fully combined.
3. Fill each glass with ice and top off with 1/3 cup vodka and 1/3 cup tonic water.
4. Stir, finish each with a kiwi garnish and serve.

For Goodness Shake
The weather is only going to get hotter and people in Las Vegas need to find a way to cool down! For Goodness Shake will be serving up healthy smoothies, shaved ice and a create your own milkshake option. Diners choose a non-fat yogurt base and select from over 40 toppings including chocolate bars, fruit, cookies, candy and more. As an added bonus, a donation will be made to provide a meal for a child in need with the purchase of any item. Rx Boiler Room
Chef Rick Moonen is the mastermind behind the steampunk laboratory décor at the Rx Boiler Room at the Mandalay Bay. Renaming and renovating RM Seafood means no longer using traditional white table cloths and overhauling the entire look and feel of the original restaurant. Rx Boiler Room offers diners communal dining on reclaimed wood tables and the bar has been overhauled with gears and cogs. Michael Jackson One
The highly anticipated Cirque Du Soleil production of “Michael Jackson One” will finally arrive at the Mandalay Bay on June 29. Although it is not a tribute act to the late Michael Jackson, this show promises to be one of the best shows to come to the Strip this summer. Filled with dazzling sets, elaborate costumes, acrobatics, pop music and, of course, plenty of dancing, this is one show you will not want to miss. Hops & Harvest
Chef Bradley Ogden is returning to Las Vegas with his new restaurant Hops & Harvest at Tivioli Village. This farm-to-table style restaurant offers diners fresh, local meals and promises to serve the chefs infamous butterscotch pudding. B & B Burger & Beer
Rumor has it that Chef Mario Batali and partner Chef Joe Bastinaich will be announcing a new burger joint concept to open at the Palazzo. Although an official announcement is expected at Batali’s Taste of Italy event, this would definitely be every burger lover’s dream come true.*

Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak
Diners in Las Vegas have been looking forward to the opening of Heritage Steak in the Mirage for quite some time but it looks like the wait will soon be over. New details on the $1 million dollar makeover are starting to be released and an opening date is expected near the end of the summer.
